You love great produce & great wine?
You like to withdraw from a hectic lifestyle?
You like to hear, ahh… nothing?
… Then LOUBS is just right for you!

history
“Loubs” is a late 16th century Presbytery, situated just at the edge of Loubes-Bernac, a little village of about 400 inhabitants.

Over several centuries, our house was the home of monks and priests who played an important role in the community. Music was taught in the presbyter and the barn was used as a theatre. Locals still remember quite vividly the good times they had there.

Since we purchased the Presbyter we have upgraded it to a modern, elegant house. The very large rooms with the 3,8 m high ceilings give a sense of space that not every holiday home can offer.

The pool sits right in front of the house, and together with the covered outside dining area, becomes very much the heart of the house during summertime. From the terrace you can enjoy marvellous views and admire the splendour of Chateau de Theobon.

We are very excited that you consider spending time in our home. We already know that you will enjoy Loubs!

BAKER + BUTCHER + GREENGROCER

For the most delicious Bio sourdough bread, baked in a wood fired oven go to the “FOURNIL DU MALROME”, Coulinet, Saint Jean de Duras, just off the D 19. Bread is ready as of 10 am ONLY! (till 7:30 pm) and on weekends they also do croissants and they are open earlier…

We like baguette, croissants and co. from “AUX PAINS DES DUCS”, 2 Avenue Aristide Briand, Duras. Closed from 13:00 till 15:30 and Wednesday

Our local store sells good bread and croissants. Please “order” in advance, so not to be disappointed!

Laurent LAZINIERE, 11 rue Elise, 24680 Gardonne, is a very good butcher.
